The Aadhaar card serves as both an identification card and a proof of residency. Users can get and print their E-Aadhaar card from the UIDAI website after finishing the enrollment process. Your e-Aadhaar, which has been digitally signed by a UIDAI representative, is a password-protected electronic version of your Aadhaar.



Using the Aadhaar Number, Download the Aadhar Card


You can get your e-Aadhaar by following the steps below if you already have an Aadhaar Card and your Aadhaar number.


Step-1. To learn more, visit https://uidai.gov.in. Choose "Download Aadhaar" under "My Aadhaar."

Step-2.  Enter Your 12-digit UID is entered as 1234/1234/1234.

Step-3. Select the option if you want a disguised Aadhaar*. Leave the item unchecked if not.

Step-4. Type the provided captcha into the box.

Step-5. Next, select either "Enter a TOTP"*** or "Send OTP"**.

Step-6. Enter your OTP or TOTP details before getting your e-Aadhaar.


 Using Enrolment ID, Download Aadhar Card


You can also obtain a digital copy of your Aadhaar Card using your enrolment ID. The following actions need to be taken:


Step-1. your 14-digit ENO number in step one.

Step-2. Right next to the ENO choice is a calendar. In this calendar, enter the 14-digit date and time stamp from your enrolment sheet.

Step-3. Check the box next to it if you wish to download an Aadhaar that is hidden. Do not check the box if not.

Step-4. Fill out the provided captcha information.

Step-5. Select "Enter a TOTP" or "Send OTP."

Step-6. Submit the information for the OTP or TOTP.

Step-7. Get your electronic Aadhaar card.


Download E-Aadhar Using Virtual ID


When using your VID to download your e-Aadhaar, the following steps must be followed:


Step-1 Fill out your 16-digit VID number in step 1.

Step-2. Check the box if you want a disguised Aadhaar.

Step-3. Type the provided captcha in the box provided.

Step-4. Select 'Enter a TOTP' or 'Send OTP'.

Step-5. Submit the information for the OTP or TOTP.

Step-6. Get your electronic Aadhaar card.


Download Aadhaar Using Your Name and Birthdate


If you don't have your Enrolment ID (EID) or think you may have lost it, you can get one by giving your name, birthdate, and contact information (phone number, email address).


You can download your e-Aadhaar after you get the number. The steps to take are as follows:


Step-1. To retrieve a misplaced or forgotten EID/UID, go to the "https://resident.uidai.gov.in/lost-uideid" link on the UIDAI website.

Step-2. Select the button labeled "Enrolment ID (EID)".

Step-3. Type your full name exactly as it was on the Aadhaar card application.

Step-4. Type in your cell phone number, making sure it matches the one you provided at enrollment.

Step-5. You can also enter your email address on file.

Step-6. Type the provided captcha in the box.

Step-7. Select either "Send OTP" or "Send TOTP."

Step-8. Type the OTP or the TOTP.

Step-9. Your EID will then be supplied to you.

Step-10. Write down this number and head to 11. Aadhaar homepage at https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/ to download it.


Download the e-Aadhar via UMANG.


UMANG is a government effort created by the National e-Governance Division and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to make e-governance mobile-first.


You can access e-Government services from Indian national, state, and local government organizations using this app. Aadhaar and DigiLocker, two digital India services, are connected to the app.


How to obtain your Aadhaar card from UMANG is as follows:


Step-1. Log in after creating an account.

Step-2. Select "Aadhaar Card" under "All Services" from the drop-down menu.

Step-3. Select 'View Aadhaar Card from DigiLocker.'

Step-4. The DigiLocker home page will be shown. Register with DigiLocker or log in. Make sure your mobile phone number is already listed with Aadhaar if you wish to utilize DigiLocker.

Step-5. After that, you can view your Aadhaar Card on the app by using DigiLocker.


Use the mAadhaar App to download the Aadhaar Card.


The official Aadhaar mobile app is called mAadhaar. To obtain your e-Aadhaar and access your Aadhaar at any time, utilize the mAadhaar app.


Here's how to receive your mAadhaar and download it to the app:


Step-1. Log in to the application.

Step-2. If you linked your mobile phone number to your Aadhaar when you registered, you can now download your card.

Step-3. You will receive an SMS with an OTP on your registered cellphone number. This OPT will be automatically read by the app. As a result, you are unable to manually enter the OTP.

Step-4. As long as all saved profiles utilize the same mobile number as the user's registered mobile number (i.e., the mobile number listed on their Aadhaar), you can save up to three profiles (such as those of family members) on a single device.


Print Aadhaar Card


After downloading your e-Aadhaar, take the following actions to print it:


Step-1. A 'pdf' file is how your e-Aadhaar is stored. You must use a PDF viewer to open it, such as Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Edge.

Step-2. Here, enter your password. The first four letters of your name in capital letters, followed by your birth year in the style YYYY, will serve as your Aadhar password.

Step-3. After the file has been opened, select the 'Print' option, input the number of copies you wish to print, and then click the 'Print' button.


Password for the e-Aadhar Card


The letters from your name and the numerals from your birth date make up the e-Aadhaar password. The initial four letters of your name, followed by the year of your birth, make up the password.


PDF Password for Aadhar Card


After getting the OTP to download the e-Aadhaar, you can download the PDF of the e-Aadhaar. You must provide a password to view this. The password for the e-Aadhaar PDF is this. The password for this e-Aadhaar PDF file is 8 letters long. The format of this password is as follows:


The Aadhaar password will be TANVI1993 if the Aadhaar holder's name is Tanvi and their birth year is 1993.


How to Use a Password to Open an E-Aadhar After Download


Method 1: Use the postal address you gave when you applied for an Aadhaar to enter the PIN Code.

Method 2: If your PIN Code does not work. The password to your Aadhaar card PDF file is a combination of your year of birth (in YYYY format) and the first four letters of your name written in CAPITALS (as they appear on your Aadhaar card).
